Russia says can start wheat exports to Saudi Arabia
MOSCOW, Aug 9 (PRIME) -- Saudi Arabia has softened regulations for the quality of grain imports and Russia can launch the exports, a representative of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Oversight told PRIME on Friday.
“We received official confirmation from Saudi Arabia about softening regulations on imported wheat,” the spokesperson said.
On Thursday, Reuters reported that the Saudi Grains Organization had abandoned the requirement of the absence of the corn bug, and starting from the next tender it would accept wheat with content of corn bug infested grain of no more than 0.5%.
